Jamaican-American photographer and director born in Brooklyn, raised in New Jersey, Hamadi has always channelled self expression through art, sport and entertainment. Upon earning his BA and graduating from Howard University, he returned to New York and began production assisting before transitioning to a photo assistant working on projects with various brands from EBONY, Dark & Lovely, Christopher John Rogers via Revivethecool to Got Milk, Marni and Harbison Studio. In gaining freelance commissions himself, he’s had the opportunity to work on projects with brands such as BET, Converse, Blacktag, Black Owned Everything, Paper Magazine, Hypebeast, Highsnobiety, Public School NY, commercial and personal brands such as Tonl, Verizon, Witcha Black Ads, music artists and more.

His work has also been published in various publications and media outlets such as The CUT, Billboard, FLAUNT Magazine (digital), Okayplayer, BRICK Magazine, Women’s Running Magazine and others.

Exercising many muscles as photographer, director, director of photography, and editor within his work, he currently produces all visual components for the podcast Witcha Black Ads . His affinity for the visual art medium lives in the exploration and translation of Black narratives and marginalized communities with homage and deep adoration for all things culture. He is passionate about storytelling, whether through still or moving image, and has experience in many aspects of production, pre through post.
